Short Car Insurance Short Term Car Insurance For Foreign Visitors?

Short term car insurance for foreign visitors? - short car insurance

Me and a couple of guys (the citizens of the United Kingdom) have decided to go into the U.S. come from east to west, a few months beyond. We are thinking of buying a car, then sell it before leaving.

Can a car insurance policy in the short term for the amount of time? Since we are not the United States, too?

Thanks

First you need to consider the issue of licenses. In some states will not register a car if someone does not have an American license. Also you need for the roof to be paid by the insurance of insurance companies and the United States has no means to a non-us, so we charge you higher premiums. If you are a younger person, you can pay more. Without a U.S. address, I think the insurance companies very little design for a policy. Moreover, even if you find an insurance cover of May, then you are getting the drivers, would any of his other drivers are covered.

If you have car insurance now, check with your insurance company offers special coverage for travel outside Europe. Check in obtaining an international license, which includes the device in other countries. You may have to fill out forms or evidence (the Americans are, if you want) in the UK drive. A rental car is another option, since they are usually more models and more reliable. You can also purchase insurance from the rental car. Most airports have rental car companies. You can examine an early stage.

I think you might get a policy for 6 months

Call for Auto Safety. They are the cheapest, and specializes in the legal minimum insurance.

6 months is the usual duration of insurance, but if you sell it and cancel the insurance, you will receive a refund of the unused portion of the report.

Some companies (Progressive Drive comes to mind) may increase the monthly payments. So for the month you sell the car, instead of demanding a payment to cancel.

Try to get an independent car insurance in the United States. As a rule, and probably a lot of auto insurance can help guide you through the process. When you contact an insurance policy to the fore, such as State Farm or Allstate may be much more expensive than when buying. Good luck and have fun!
